Hi friends. I’ll level with you: I’ve been struggling lately, with the complete lack of work/life balance in my industry, with stubborn plateaus in the kitchen and gym, and with just a lot in general. Things are slowly getting better, but I’m still kinda burned out on gaining. Folks have generally been supportive, suggesting I take a break for a minute to reset. But here’s the vicious cycle/personal dilemma I face:
I lose the gaining drive ➡️
That triggers my anxiety➡️
My calorie intake drops➡️
I lose weight➡️
My body dysmorphia kicks into overdrive➡️
I get depressed how skinny I look➡️
And the cycle starts over.
What do y’all think? Are breaks worth the short term losses (despite the inevitable weight loss comments and existential dread?)😜
Anyway, I’m trying to get back into the gainer shake groove…
